Abstract
This research was talking about Students’ Motivation in Writing English at Grade VIII of SMP Negeri 11 Padangsidimpuan. The objective of the research was to describe of Students’ Motivation in Writing english at grade VIII of SMP Negeri 11 Padangsidimpuan. This research was conducted by Qualitative research. The participants of this research were students at grade VIII-3of SMP Negeri 11 Padangsidimpuan consisted of 29 students. This research used questionaire as instruments, because this research used quantitative data. Based on the result of this research, researcher found that the Students’ Motivation in Writing English at grade VIII of SMP Negeri 11 Padangsidimpuan was enough categories. The score is (50.41%).
