Abstract
This research was taken based on fact that the students have problem in simple future tense test. They were difficult to complete of tense, lack of completing formula of tense, lack of completing future tense test. In this research, the researcher focus to find out about the students’ ability in simple future tense test, the difficulties of students in using simple future tense test and the efforts of the English teacher in overcoming the students’ difficulties in using simple future tense test. The sources of the research were 30 students at grade X MA YPKS Padangsidimpuan. The instrument for collecting data the researcher used the test for primary data and used interview and observation for secondary data. The researcher analyzed the result of the test with mean score, and took the concluding of the research with future tense. In this occasion, mean scores of students’ ability in completing simple future tense test= 48.3% can be categorized into enough category. Based on the result of this research, there were some difficulties of students in using simple future tense test and the English teacher’ efforts in overcoming the students' ability in completing future tense test.
