Abstract
The background of the problem in this study is that many students think that mathematics is a difficult subject and boring. So many students get low grades. Based on the background of the above problems this study aims to determine whether there is influence of realistic approach to the learning outcomes mathematics of opportunity material in class XI MAS NU Sibuhuan. This is because the method of learning is not appropriate. Therefore it is necessary to change the approach that has been applied. One approach that can improve student learning outcomes is a realistic approach. Realistic approach is the utilization of reality and the environment that learners understand to facilitate learning prses. This research is a quantitative research with exprience method by using Classical Experimental Design (one group of expriemen-one comparison group). The population in this study is the entire class XI MAS NU Sibuhuan consisting of 4 rooms with 95 students. The sample in the study was taken from the students of class XI IPA-1 as the expansion class with the number of 19 students and the control class XI IPA-2 amounted to 26 students. Instrument in this research is test of Multiple Choice (Multiple Choice). Instrument analysis techniques used are validity, reliability, difficulty and distinguishing power. While the data analysis technique that is using chi-square test formula, equality test of two mean and t-test. Based on the results of the hypothesis test calculation using the t-test formula obtained = 2.32 and = 1.61 for > (2.32> 1.61), then Ha accepted. So it can be concluded There is a Significant Influence Realistic Approach to Learning Outcomes Mathematics Material Opportunity in class XI MAS NU Sibuhuan
